London Eye, Big Ben, Oxford Street - you already know them, don’t you? London is an amazing city, and you have to visit every touristic destination when you are here for the first time. You can hang out in Camden, Chelsea, London Bridge, Covent garden - there is a wealth of activities you could engage in London as a visitor.

 Once you have ‘checked’ these famous places off your things-to-do list, you could take a moment to experience London off the beaten track. This way, you can take in everything that London has to offer without being crowded by a load of tourists.

The Museum of Brands, Packaging, and Advertising

Located in Notting Hill, it’s the perfect place for people who like marketing. You will see over 12,000 items ranging from shampoo bottles and drinks cans, to toys and postcards. You will get to see a lot of products that were popular a few years ago - almost like a ‘blast from the past’. You might even enjoy the evolution of mass communication - from TV advertising to social media marketing.

Fashion and Textile Museum

If you fancy design and fashion you should take a look at this museum close to London Bridge. The Fashion and textile museum is a place for contemporary fashion, textiles and jewelry in the ever-trendy London.

Opening hours:Open Tuesday to Saturday, 11am - 6pm
Closed Sunday and Monday
 

 Columbia Road Flower Market

A poet once told me: “Let’s be sweet in this brutal world”. At Columbia road flower market, you can see the literal transformation of that saying. It is a street market operated by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Flowers are poet’s best friends and not to mention, gardeners and nature lovers - here, you can find over 50 market stalls and 30 shops selling flowers, and gardening supplies - a haven for someone who loves gardening as a hobby and a bit of colour.

 Imperial War Museum and National Army Museum

Want to bring back to life the history of wars? These are two interesting places you cannot miss. While the Imperial war museum is more general and unique in its coverage of conflicts of the 20’s century, the National army museum has five floors of exhibits showing the history of the British Army and its impact on others. Its two museums that gives you a taste of history, immersed in a special atmosphere.

   Jurassic Encounter Adventure Golf

 Tired of walking around and visiting museums? Relax, let your hair down with a nice golfing atmosphere. It is a themed adventure golf course that has an exciting 18-hole course, with waterfalls, caves, challenging putting greens. This is one outing that you can excite those friends who are not too keen on museums.

  Bank of England Museum

 

Who does not want to be rich? With the Bank of England Museum situated in Inner London, you have the opportunity to lift a real bar of gold. The Bank of England Museum tells the story of the Bank from its formation in 1694 to its role today as the United Kingdom's pivotal bank.

Borough Market

 

 

 

 

You probably already know the famous Camden market and surely heard of Brick lane and Spitalfields. Have you heard about Borough Market, the market of world food? Close to London Bridge, you will find everything you want. Make sure you visit Borough market on an empty stomach - you are going to see plenty of tasty food - that smells great as well. Don’t worry about carrying products from Borough market with you if you are there during the day - you can get them off myMzone later - a good tip for travellers to save on carrying things around.
